We have been busy building, crafting and making! Here are a few fun ideas.
I bought wooden letters one for each letter in the alphabet, Ethne gets to color a letter a day, It helps with letter recognition and we work on the sound and can also use them for crayon rubbings. When all the letters are collected we will made word rubbings too. http://pinkandgreenmama.blogspot.com/2011/06/preschool-at-home-abc-practice-and.html
We have been making lots of smoothies for breakfast -they are quick, easy and filling because of the oatmeal, I do add just a little bit of sugar to mine and omit the vanilla, not really a fan of vanilla. If you don't have berries on hand just make an all banana smoothie -so good! Found the recipe here http://thischickcooks.blogspot.com/2011/05/berry-banana-oatmeal-smoothie.html
We made these cute bead caterpillars, easy and fun. http://ucreatewithkids.blogspot.com/2011/05/tutorial-bead-caterpillar-pets.html
These jumping cups were fun too.
I got the coloring picture here and we used water color color pencils, the girls colored the pictures first and then painted it with water, it was fun. It you plan on making this a water color picture print the picture on card stock, it will hold better with the water.

The girls wanted to make silly rocks. I got out a bowl and filled it with little scrapes of paper, ribbons, buttons, sequins, googly eyes, yarn, rubber bands and other odds and ends. The girls first painted their rocks. We ran an errand while they dried and then when we got back they had fun glueing all kinds of silly stuff the the rocks to make their faces. Ethne even cut a rubber band in half to make ears. Hours of entertainment.

We have been reading a book everyday, Emma is a good reader!
We made this paper city on monday and we used a kleenex box to tape the city to it so it would stand up and the people and cars fit perfectly in the hole where the tissues use to be. The girls had fun coloring and cutting. http://madebyjoel.com/2010/04paper-city.html
